In a meeting with Olzhas Bektenov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, regarding the advancement of major investment initiatives in the nation’s industry, Vitaly Nesis, the Chief Executive Officer of Solidcore Resources plc (“Solidcore” or the “Company”), discussed the progress of the Ertis Hydrometallurgical Combine (Ertis POX) project.
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has outlined 17 key projects within the metallurgical and petrochemical sectors, which includes building a facility for processing high-carbon sulfide gold-bearing concentrates (Ertis POX).
Autoclave oxidation, intended for application at Ertis POX, stands as one of the most effective and eco-friendly methods for treating gold-bearing concentrate globally. The manufacturing method of the future facility is unparalleled in Central Asia. The introduction of Ertis POX will deliver 15 tons of Dore alloy to Kazakhstan, aiming for processing capacities of up to 300 thousand tons of gold-containing concentrate annually.
Today, efforts are ongoing toward the execution of a distinctive investment initiative. The autoclave arrived in Pavlodar, positive expert assessments were obtained regarding the working draft for the construction of temporary buildings and structures, and work on a report assessing potential impacts commenced.
To carry out the Ertis POX construction project, the Company aims to secure funding from development banks and global financial entities.
