Group’s CEO Vitaly Nesis met with the akim (governor) of Pavlodar region

At the meeting with the akim of Pavlodar region, Asain Baikhanov, on 25 November 2024, CEO of Solidcore Resources plc (“Solidcore” or “the Company”), Vitaly Nesis, discussed the progress of the Ertis POX (EPOX) construction in the “Pavlodar” Special Economic Zone.

“This project will be the country's first large-scale and high-tech full-cycle hydrometallurgical complex for processing refractory concentrates. It will unlock Kazakhstan's significant resource potential by enabling development of new deposits with refractory and double refractory ores. Notably, the pressure oxidation technology that will be used at EPOX is recognised for its minimal environmental impact”, said Vitaly Nesis.

The construction of EPOX is expected to be completed in 2028. Once operational, the facility creates at least 500 permanent jobs, including postions for highly qualified personnel, with priority given to the local workforce.

Vitaly Nesis also briefed the akim on Solidcore’s social initiatives. The Company and its subsidiaries make significant contribution to the development of human capital and social infrastructure in the regions of presence. The first such initiative sponsored by EPOX was the repair and modernization of kindergarten No. 111 in Pavlodar for the total amount of KZT 61 million (appox. US$ 120,000).

Asain Baikhanov emphasized the priority of the EPOX project and issued several directives to ensure its successful development.
